- The day I was defeated by a salad...
Pathetic, I know - but hear me out!
I've been meaning to check the Good Life Eatery out for ages, but everytime I'm in Chelsea on the weekend, it always me vs a massive queue.
My theory... go midweek.
I had a few days off last week as a friend came to visit, so we headed for the Kings Road and voila - hello big salad!

RATING: ****
WHAT NAINA HAS: The Good Life Salad *with chicken
NEAREST TUBE: South Kensington/Sloane Square
Now I know what you're thinking... pfft I could totally nom that in one go, but it was incredibly filling!
The Good Life salad consists of a kale base, roasted sweet potato, quinoa, lentils, walnut, goji berries, nutritional yeast (which tasted gross by itself, so mix it in) and orange tahini vinaigrette. I ordered some chicken to go with mine as I'm following a high protein based diet and I wanted more than just lentils.
The price is £11 - a lot for a salad I know. But in all fairness, the ingredients were incredibly fresh, tasty (as in not just a plate of lettuce) and it kept me full ALL day. I wasn't even hungry for dinner, so had a small snack that evening instead.
What I love the most (apart from the food...) is considering it's so close to the Kings Road, everything in the Good Life Eatery feels so real. In the sense, there's no fancy snobbery, it is what it is - the interior is very basic and rustic, staff are helpful, polite and quick to get your food to you and of course the food is as fresh and 'raw' as can be. The place itself is very small, with seating for maybe 20 people.
Overall I'd say the Good Life Eatery is definitely worth a trip but try to avoid queues by going mid week if you can. I'll definitely be going back to try their fresh juices which look delicious!
